The idea arrives about four hauls in, always phrased the same way: buy five, sell three, wear two for free. It sounds like arbitrage because on paper it is one — there really is a gap between what a Weidian listing costs and what somebody in your city will pay for the same object.
The gap is real. The reason people stop is not that the maths was wrong. It is that the maths was the small part.
Start with the part that is only money
Freight is charged per parcel by chargeable weight, so units you did not pre-sell still cost you a share of a box, and the ones you did cost you that share again if a buyer changes their mind and you post it on. Sizes do not clear evenly; the mediums go and the extra-larges sit. Storage at an agent's warehouse runs on a clock. And the item that was hot two months ago is now the item everybody already has.
That is ordinary retail risk, and if it were the whole story some people would take it knowingly. It is not the whole story.
You just became the agent, and the job is bigger than it looks
This hobby routes through shopping agents because four jobs need doing, and the beginner guide walks through all of them: hold the money, buy in Chinese, photograph what actually arrived, and forward it. A reseller does not remove those jobs. They inherit them, without the warehouse, the ticket queue or the photographer.
- Inspection. Your buyer's only QC is now whatever you photograph on your kitchen table. If you skip it, the first person to see a defect is the person who paid you.
- Sizing. Rep sizing does not track retail and does not track consistently inside one seller. Every question about a chest measurement is now yours to answer, and answering it wrong is a return.
- Waiting. A restock is weeks, and your buyer's clock started when they paid you.
- Disputes. Disputes and refunds describes leverage that is physical: it lives at the QC stage, in a warehouse in China, and expires when the parcel ships. Sell an item on after it has landed and there is no stage left. You are the last party holding the object and the only one who can refund anything.
The failure mode is not exotic and it is already documented, from the buyer's side, about people running exactly this model:
"Repkingdom" is a terrible seller. They sell out-of-stock items, then make customers wait until the products are remade before shipping them out. During that time, they don't reply at all. They even read WeChat messages and ignore them.

That is one buyer's account of one store and we have not verified it. Read it as a job description rather than a verdict: listing stock you do not hold, then absorbing the wait in silence, is what happens structurally when the person taking orders is not the person holding goods.
The reviews are already written, and they are not about you yet
The useful exercise is to read what buyers say about resellers and assume it will be said about you, because the complaint attaches to the position rather than to the person occupying it.

Neither comment alleges fraud, and neither do we. What they show is the half-life of the arrangement: sooner or later somebody names your source, and from then your listing is read next to a cheaper one. Spotting a reseller markup is a check any of your buyers can run in two minutes, and the 124 seller pages exist so that names can be looked up.
The line we are not going to help you across
These are replicas. Selling one to somebody who has been led to believe it is authentic is deceiving a buyer, and this site is not going to explain how to do it — not the wording, not the photography, not the packaging, not which details survive scrutiny. If that is the plan, you are reading the wrong page and there is no version of it here.
That extends to the softer forms: a listing that omits the word, a description borrowed from a retail page, a photograph framed to imply an origin. Those are the same act with better manners.
Rules, platforms and the law
Marketplaces have their own policies on replica goods, enforce them by removing listings and closing accounts, and revise them. Beyond the platforms sit trade mark and consumer law, which differ by country, change without notice, and are not something a site that indexes Reddit comments should be summarising. Where you would stand is a question for a lawyer in your jurisdiction and for the current text on your own government's site — not for a forum thread and not for us.
One thing is worth saying plainly: the exposure is not symmetrical. Buying one item for yourself and selling items to strangers for profit are different activities, treated differently everywhere we are aware of.
The narrow case that is not this
Selling on a single item you bought for yourself, wore, and no longer want is a different transaction from running a shop: one object, described accurately, to somebody who knows exactly what it is. The platform's rules and honesty about what the item is both still apply.
What to do with the impulse instead
If the real appeal was making the hobby pay for itself, the levers that actually work are boring and legal. Ship fewer, bigger parcels so the freight per item falls — how to build a haul is that arithmetic. Buy from a source with a public record instead of a layer with none. Slow down at the QC stage, where the cheapest remedy in the whole process still exists. And if a friend wants what you have, send them the item link and let them run their own order through the link decoder and their own agent account. You keep the friendship and none of the obligations.
