Is martinreps legit? Four comments, three of them questions

The martinreps record is four autumn 2024 comments: one unanswered allegation about paid reviews, two unanswered quality questions, and one list of links.

Published 2026-08-10

Most seller pages fail because the record is empty. This one is unusual: the record for martinreps, who trades as MARTIN, is not empty, it is unresolved. Four on-topic comments, all from a five-week window between 12 October and 19 November 2024, and three of them are questions that nobody in our corpus ever answered.

Alongside them we hold 3,276 items from their albums in our product database, mostly apparel with sneakers second. A large, browsable store; a conversation that never finished. Their evidence page is the evidence, not a verdict, and there is no rating of this seller anywhere on this site.

The question that is really an allegation

In October 2024, under a haul review thread, somebody raised this:

correct me if im wrong but wasnt martin the one who was paying people off to give good reviews?

u/RedditAdminsAreCring, r/FashionReps, 12 October 2024

Note the shape of it. It invites correction, it scored two points, and our record contains no correction, no confirmation, and no reply of any kind. We have not verified it. We are not repeating it as fact. It is in the record, it is about the reliability of reviews rather than about a product, and anybody weighing enthusiastic posts about this store should know somebody asked that out loud and got nothing back.

Paid-review suspicion runs through this corner of the market. The Lily record carries a sharper version of the same accusation, also unanswered, and reading the two together is a better education in how to discount a glowing review than any checklist.

The two questions about quality

Both of the remaining question comments sit under QC photo threads, where a buyer posts their agent's warehouse pictures for the crowd to judge. In October:

do you know about martin reps tee quality ?

u/ThisUserIsntTakenTho, r/FashionReps, 29 October 2024

And in November, on a different pickup thread, scoring six points:

How Is the Martin Rose jacket material-wise?

u/PFriends, r/FashionReps, 19 November 2024

Neither has an answer in our corpus. Six people upvoting a question is a decent measure of how many other people wanted the same answer, and it is not an answer.

This is also where the limits of a text corpus bite. Those threads were built around photographs. The pictures are the evidence and we hold none of them, only the words underneath. If you want to judge a MARTIN tee, the threads linked from the seller page are worth opening for the images even though the comments under them are thin.

What people were actually linking

The best-scored comment we hold, at eleven points, is not an opinion at all. It is a where-to-cop list posted under one of those QC threads, naming a Represent hoodie, a Stussy tee, a Stussy belt and an Oakley sweat, each followed by a Yupoo album link for this store.

Those links are written with spaces broken into the domain, the way people post them to dodge automatic filters, and they carry raw album ids in the URL. That is worth knowing because it is exactly the kind of link that stops working. The link decoder reads the item id out of a mangled or dead link's shape without needing the page to load, so a 2024 w2c comment still resolves to something you can buy today.

Two useful things follow from that comment. First, the pieces people sought from this store in 2024 were streetwear staples rather than anything exotic. Second, at least one person cared enough to compile the list, which is a signal about interest and not about quality.

What the evidence does not cover

What to do with a record like this

Treat unanswered questions as unanswered, not as reassurance. The absence of complaints across four comments is a sample size, not a safety record.

If you buy, buy one thing first and look hard at the QC photos before you ship — how to buy reps walks through that step, and it is the only part of this process where you personally get to see the object before committing. Then, if you have something to say, say it in a thread. This page exists because four people in 2024 asked good questions and nobody wrote the answer down. Compare the browsable-but-quiet pattern here, where a big catalogue sits behind a record that stopped in 2019.
