Twenty pairs worn for three years, and two duds out of four. Both are first-hand. Neither is lying about their own shoes, and averaging them into a number would destroy the only useful thing about them, which is that both outcomes happened.
The explanation offered, and what it costs
One commenter in that thread proposed a mechanism:
Never had a bad experience with sharkbreeder. I'm sorry for yours. He sells alot of different batches of each shoe. are you sure you didn't accidentally bought a not returnable cheap batch?

This is the single most practical line in the record, and it is worth understanding before you order anything here. A store that lists several batches of the same silhouette at several prices is not one product with variable luck. It is a shelf, and which shelf you pulled from is decided at checkout, often in a dropdown you barely read.
It is also unverified. Nobody in the thread confirmed which batch they bought, so the theory tidily explains both outcomes without either buyer ever testing it. Read the batch guides for what batch names do and do not tell you, and treat a cheap listing of an expensive shoe as a deliberate choice rather than a bargain.
The other complaint thread is narrower and blunter. It is about an Arc'teryx-style jacket that let water through, and one reply widens it into a claim about the seller's whole reputation:

The same comment goes on to describe the construction and materials as low, and argues the problem is not the price bracket but that the sub recommends these as though they were top-tier. We have quoted the claim, not confirmed it. Nobody in our record ran a water test either way.
Eighteen months later, in a thread about a different jacket, a reviewer answered an accusation that his positive write-up had been paid for:
If u dont have proofs then its kinda bad of u to assume that. Never got paid to make review, I waited 2 years since zzztop annouce to make this jacket but shark recently added it. Jacket is waterproof which I mentioned in review

What the store actually is
SHARKBREEDER is the largest catalogue among the sellers in this set: 595 items we could publish, each with a photo we checked and a buy link that resolved. The catalogue leans apparel first, then sneakers, then a small amount of jewellery, which matches a record full of jackets and Off-White shoes rather than one product line.
Paste any of their links into the link decoder to get a working buy link for the agent you already use, and read how to buy reps before your first order. In a store with several batches of one shoe, the QC photo step is the only place where you find out which one you bought while you can still refuse it.
What the evidence does not cover
Four of our six comments come from a single thread on a single day in May 2025. That is not six independent readings, it is one argument with four participants, and the sample should be read that way.
One of the three subreddits in our record is run by a shopping agent. Comments there are not neutral ground, and we have not weighted them differently, only flagged it.
Nothing we hold covers refunds, shipping times, or what happens when you raise a defect with the seller. The one comment that asks the obvious question never got an answer we can quote:
