Start with the part you can check yourself. The topacney Yupoo is empty. Not slow, not partly broken, not full of dead links: the page renders no albums. There is no catalogue to browse and nothing to put in a cart, which makes every quality opinion below a description of clothes that were made years ago and may not be made now.
So this guide is an archive reading rather than a shopping page. It is the evidence, not a verdict, and there is no score of ours anywhere in it.
What the archive is
TOPACNEY is a one-brand operation. Every thread we hold is about Acne Studios pieces, mostly hoodies and sweatshirts, across r/FashionReps, r/QualityReps and r/stockholmreps. That focus is unusual and it shapes the record: buyers here compare a hoodie against other Acne hoodies, not against a whole wardrobe.
The comment we hold with the most upvotes is a joke, and it is still the clearest signal of how this seller was regarded in 2019:
My only complaint about TopAcney is he doesn't make more acne stuff for me to buy :/
u/RealKevinJames, r/FashionReps, 31 July 2019
A more useful review came two months later, from a buyer who had received a haul:
Thanks topacney, the hoodie I received in my haul is super soft. I think the accuracy of the hoodie isn’t as important as the quality of the garment. It is a very comfortable hoodie.
u/isaiahd1, r/FashionReps, 27 September 2019
Notice what that buyer is grading. Softness and comfort, explicitly held above accuracy. That is a legitimate way to judge a garment and it is not the same question as whether the piece looks like the retail original, which nobody in our record tested with photographs.
The only recent thing we hold
Five of our six comments are from 2019. One is from 2024, in a QC thread about a Stockholm 1996 hoodie, and it is the single most practically useful line in the entire record:
TopAcney quality is great but go careful leaving his stuff out in the sun to dry, I’ve had t shirts fade to the point where I can no longer wear them after only a few hours in the sun. Weird problem I know, only ever had it with topacney or Abercrombie tees.
a deleted account, r/QualityReps, 17 September 2024
One buyer, one failure mode, no second confirmation anywhere in our record. Treat it as a thing worth being careful about rather than a proven defect, and note that the account which reported it has since been deleted, so nobody can ask them a follow-up question.
The seller is in the thread
Two of the five threads we hold are titled as statements from the seller rather than reviews by buyers, and one of our six quoted comments comes from the seller's own account:
Topacney have two members, one is me , one is topstoney's brother-in-law.
u/Topancey, r/FashionReps, 17 October 2019
That is worth flagging clearly. A seller describing his own operation is the weakest form of evidence on this site. It is not a lie detector test and we have not verified any part of it, including the claimed link to another seller. We quote it because a seller who posts under his own name in a subreddit that can reply to him is a fact about the record, not because it proves anything about the clothes.
The buyers in those threads talked back to him directly, which is why a couple of our quotes read like messages to the seller rather than reviews for readers:
I’m looking into buying the FW soft shell r jacket I’m 175cm and 54kg what sizes would you recommend for slim fit and a little baggy fit?
u/spoopypumkinlmao, r/FashionReps, 27 September 2019
We do not hold an answer to that question. Every permalink is on the TOPACNEY evidence page, including the thread that question was asked in, if you want to see whether he replied.
Sizing, from one measured comment
The only sizing datapoint we hold with a number attached:
I got a size XXS and it's still oversized but the fit is great! Weight was 650g
u/maerkeligt, r/FashionReps, 27 September 2019
A 650g sweatshirt in the smallest size tells you the cut ran oversized on that model, and nothing at all about the next one. The garment in question is described in the thread as an oversize sweatshirt, so "still oversized at XXS" may be the piece behaving exactly as designed rather than a sizing error. Measure a garment you already own flat and compare it to the seller's own numbers, as described in how to buy reps.
What the evidence does not cover
- It stops. Five of six comments are from a three-month window in 2019. Seven years is long enough for a two-person operation to change completely, or to stop.
- Nobody tested accuracy. No side-by-side against a retail piece, no measurement chart, no logo close-up in anything we hold. The most positive review explicitly set accuracy aside.
- No service record. Nothing on shipping, refunds, wrong sizes, or a dispute. Not one complaint either, which in a six-comment sample means the sample is small, not that the service was clean.
- The store is empty. We cannot re-check any claim above against a live catalogue.
If you have an old topacney link from one of those threads, the link decoder can often still recover the item from the URL itself, because it reads the item id out of the link rather than fetching the page. If it comes back with nothing, the item is gone. The seller list shows which stores still have something in them.
