Is hotdog-official legit? A 2022 try-on and a 2023 one-liner

The whole quoted record on hotdog-official is two comments, one written by an agent's own staff. Both are years old and neither describes an order arriving.

Published 2026-08-10

Two comments. That is the whole quoted record we hold on HOTDOG, the store at the handle hotdog-official, and both of them are old enough to have been written before several of the agents this site supports existed in their current form.

The older is from September 2022 and was written by a shopping agent's staff member. The newer is from April 2023 and is one sentence long. Nothing since. Two comments cannot support a verdict about a business that has had almost four years to change, and this page will not manufacture one — we publish the record and decline to rate anybody.

What follows is that record, where it came from, and the things you can still check for yourself in 2026.

The first comment is marketing, and says so

Our oldest quote comes from a monthly QC and try-on post, published by an account that names a shopping agent in its own username:

Hi rep family! Here's our new QC/try on for September. Big shouts to our new seller Hotdog-official. Before we borrowed their items for shooting, I didn't know this brand UNKNOWN LONDON. As far as I know, they are the only seller for this brand at the moment. So let's check it out!

Read what kind of statement that is. It is an agent introducing a seller they have just started working with, having borrowed items to photograph. It is genuinely informative about one thing — that in September 2022 this store was new to that agent's roster and was carrying a label the poster had not seen elsewhere — and it is not a customer's account of an order. The items were borrowed for a shoot, not bought, worn and judged.

We publish it because it is one of the two comments in our corpus that name this seller, and showing you what those two comments actually are beats quietly letting a count of two stand in for two reviews.

The second comment, and the headline above it

The newer quote is short enough to reproduce in full, typo included:

Hotdog is defnitly one of my favorite sellers at the moment💯💯

Seven upvotes. No item named, no price, no photos, no agent, no shipping time, no problem and no resolution. It is somebody's preference stated in passing, and it is the closest thing to an endorsement anywhere in our file.

It sits under a post whose title asserts that this seller is the best supplier for a particular streetwear label. We are not going to repeat that claim as though our record supported it, because our record consists of the two comments on this page. A thread title is a claim made by one poster, and a claim made in a headline is not more verified than the same claim made in a comment. It is just louder.

Both permalinks are on the HOTDOG evidence page, where the original threads and their photographs still live.

Almost four years of silence

The most useful thing this file contains is its dates. The last time anyone in our corpus wrote this seller's name was April 2023, and stores in this space change hands, change factories, get overloaded, or stop answering messages without ever announcing it. A 2023 favourite is a description of a business that may or may not still be the same business.

That is not a suspicion about this seller. It is a limit on what a 2022 and a 2023 comment can tell you about 2026, and it applies to every seller whose file has gone quiet.

The other thing the silence hides is failure. Our record contains no refund, no dispute, no wrong size, no seller who stopped replying — and in a two-comment sample that absence is meaningless. A file with no complaints in it is usually a small file rather than a clean one. Red flags that a rep seller is about to waste your money covers what a complaint actually looks like when one does exist.

What they sell

We hold 417 items from this store, sorting mostly into apparel, then accessories, then outerwear. The labels our indexing attaches are Off-White, Gallery Dept, Amiri, Rick Owens, Represent and Broken Planet.

There is a small telling gap there. The 2022 comment is largely about a label our brand index does not carry at all, which is a reminder that these lists describe what got photographed and discussed rather than everything a store stocks. Treat the brand names as a rough map of the catalogue, not an inventory, and remember these are replicas throughout.

The store is not password-gated, so the albums open for anyone with the link. Given how old the written record is, the catalogue is the more current source of the two.

How to check a stale record

The honest position is that our file cannot tell you what ordering from this store is like today, so the checking falls to you.

Buying runs through a shopping agent, since the store is a photo host rather than a shop. Paste a product link into the link decoder and it returns a buy link for every agent this site supports — and it will usually recover an item from a dead 2022-era URL, because it reads the item id out of the link itself. If this is your first order, start with how to buy reps.
