Got the Macai from DreamRemake too, had it for snowboarding roughly 4-5 sessions as of now including -20 weather at Le Massif. It held up good on keeping snow off and stay warm but on the 4-5th day the arm liner shows some sign of water ingress and the whole jacket felt semi-damp after 2-3 on the hill.

Read it as the mixed result it is, because the temptation with any usage report is to round it to a verdict. It held snow off. It kept the wearer warm in deep cold. And by the fourth or fifth day the liner at the arm was showing water getting in, with the jacket feeling damp partway through a session.
That is one garment, one owner, one season, and it is still more informative than a hundred photographs. Water ingress after repeated hard use is precisely the property no QC image can show you — a shell photographs identically whether its seam tape holds or fails, and the difference only appears hours into a wet day. If you are buying a technical piece to actually use rather than to wear in town, this is the category of information to go looking for, and there is very little of it anywhere.

Somebody bought. Nothing follows it in our record — no arrival, no photos, no wear. Our tally on the west42 evidence page counts one comment positive and none negative, and this enthusiastic pre-delivery line is the sort of thing that produces that number. Anticipation is not an outcome. Treat a comment like this as evidence that the store had customers in January 2026 and as evidence of nothing else.
The thread it comes from is a batch discussion
The post both comments sit under is framed around which version of a shell is the good one, which is worth knowing before you carry any of this forward. Batches change. A report about a jacket bought in one production run does not automatically describe the one shipping this month, and the seller you buy through is often not the factory that made it.
If the vocabulary is unfamiliar, what a rep batch is explains why the same silhouette exists in several versions at once, and the best batch pages collect what the community currently argues about per shoe. Neither of those is a substitute for asking the seller directly which version they are shipping.
A technical shell is a harder buy than a hoodie
