Before you compare two sellers' Reddit files, run one test over every comment in them: was the person writing it holding the item?
Upvote scores measure agreement in a room, not accuracy. Confidence measures temperament. Whether the writer had the object in their hands does not decay, and it is the one thing you can check from the text itself.
Applied to SHARKBREEDER and scarlettluxury, that single test splits the two records apart immediately. Neither seller is graded here — this site grades records, not stores — and what follows is only what the test returns.
SHARKBREEDER: every quote is somebody's own parcel
Six comments are quoted on the SHARKBREEDER evidence page, pulled from five threads carrying 153 comments, eleven of which named the seller. Two of those threads are titled as warnings, and the arguing inside them is between people describing their own shoes.
I’ve ordered about 20 pairs of Off Whites from Shark Breeder. I still have pairs from 3 years ago that I wear.

Three buyers, three inventories, in one conversation. The third offers the mechanism that would reconcile the first two, and nobody in the thread tested it by naming which listing they bought from.

Five of the six quotes pass the test. The sixth is a question from somebody about to order, which nobody answered.
scarlettluxury: six comments, one arrived item
The scarlettluxury file is bigger where it is easy to be bigger. Five threads, 183 comments read, eight of them on topic, six quoted. The three that carry almost all the upvotes are about price, and none of them describes an object the writer owned.
Scarlett luxury is over priced. Some of her Burberry pieces are flaws compared to retails

The first two were posted into the same thread on the same day, so read them as two voices in one conversation rather than two independent findings. The second is one line lifted from a longer comment that worked through several sellers at once.
The warm comment in the file fails the test outright, and its author says so himself:

Why the two files came out this way
Look at where the threads came from and the difference stops being mysterious. SHARKBREEDER's quotes come out of complaint threads and review posts — formats that select for people who bought something and want to say what happened. scarlettluxury's come mostly from an October 2024 thread where people were building and attacking a list of sellers, and from the comment section under somebody else's haul.
Which record carries more, and on which axis
On the in-hand test, SHARKBREEDER's file carries more: five first-hand accounts against roughly none. It is also more recent, running from September 2024 to March 2026, where the scarlettluxury record stops dead in October 2024 and leaves nearly two years of trading undescribed. Price complaints in particular age badly.
The scarlettluxury file wins on agreement. Its three critical comments carry 71, 40 and 19 points; the loudest SHARKBREEDER comment carries 11. Plenty of people read those price comments and nodded. That is a real fact about the community's view and a weak fact about any individual parcel.
And the catalogues run the opposite way to the comments. We resolved 3,544 scarlettluxury items to a photo and a working buy link, against 595 for SHARKBREEDER. Eight on-topic comments describe a fraction of a percent of the larger store.
What the test cannot fix
First-hand is not the same as representative. A twenty-pair repeat buyer and a two-of-four failure rate are both true reports, and averaging them into a number would delete the only useful thing about them, which is that both outcomes happened to real people.
Four of SHARKBREEDER's six quotes also come from one thread on one afternoon. That is one argument with four participants, not four independent readings.
Neither file contains a refund, a dispute, a returned item, or a seller who stopped replying. Between them that is nineteen on-topic comments with nothing about what happens after something goes wrong — which is the part most people are actually asking about.
Running the test on anything else you read
In the next seller thread you open, count how many commenters had the item, how many were reacting to a photograph, and how many to a price on a screen. Usually the third group is the largest and the loudest.
The one place you get a first-hand look at your own order is the warehouse photo stage, which how to buy reps covers in full, and which is where a "flaws compared to retails" complaint gets settled for your parcel rather than in general.
