Nobody switches agents at a tidy moment. The decision arrives halfway through a haul — a shipping quote that came back absurd, a support ticket that went four days without a reply, a line you were counting on that is not in the dropdown. And what you actually want to know is not whether the other agent is better. It is what happens to the six items already sitting on a shelf in Guangdong.
Short version: the links move for free and nothing else does.
An account is four things, and only one is portable
Separate them and the whole question gets simpler.
- Your item links. Fully portable, and worth nothing to anyone. A Weidian or Taobao URL is public. The link decoder will rebuild it for any of the eight agents in a second, which is the entire reason that tool exists.
- Your goods. Physically in one warehouse. They move only by being shipped.
- Your money. Sitting as a balance in an account you are trying to leave.
- Your record. QC photos, order history, and any open complaint. None of it transfers, and the new agent has no standing to act on any of it.
Every real cost of switching lives in the last three.
The goods: forwarding is possible and it is not free
Items in a warehouse can be sent to another agent's warehouse. This is an ordinary domestic Chinese shipment, and buyers use forwarding routinely — usually from a seller into an agent rather than between agents, but the mechanism is the same one:
I never ship things from Mook directly, I use forwarding to send to superbuy and they ship for me.

What that move costs you is easy to underestimate.
- A domestic leg you had already paid for once. The seller shipped to warehouse A. Now warehouse A ships to warehouse B, and you pay for that, plus whatever the outbound handling fee is.
- A second inbound and a second QC. Warehouse B photographs what arrives. Those photos are of a garment that has been unpacked, handled and repacked, which is a worse inspection than the first one, not a better one.
- Your route back to the seller. Agent A bought the item, so agent A is the party the seller deals with. Once the goods leave that warehouse, the practical option of returning or exchanging with the seller is gone.
- Time. Days added to a haul, during which the storage clock at both ends carries on running — see warehouse storage fees.
For a bulky, cheap item this arithmetic almost never works. For something small and expensive it sometimes does.
The money: a balance is not cash
Most agents hold prepaid funds as an account balance, and refunds often return to that balance rather than to your card. Leaving with a balance in it means leaving money behind, and the confusion over what a wallet balance can actually do is a live one:
I still have it in my storage now and I don't know if I can refund it in my wallet.

That is one buyer, in 2024, on one agent — we have not verified it and refund policies differ by agent and change. What it illustrates is the shape of the problem: the answer to "can I get this back out" is a policy, not a right, and it is the question to ask before you top up, not after. How to pay a shopping agent covers the same trap from the funding side.
Before you switch, spend the balance down. An agent you are leaving is an excellent place to buy the last cheap thing on your list.
The dispute you cannot take with you
If something is wrong — wrong colourway, damage, an item that never arrived from the seller — that complaint belongs to the agent who made the purchase. A new agent did not buy it, did not receive it, did not photograph it, and cannot chase it.
So resolve open cases before you go, not after. A dispute you abandon halfway is a dispute you lost. Writing a dispute an agent will act on covers the message; disputes and refunds covers how little leverage remains once a parcel is moving.
Reasons to switch that are actually about the agent
Not every complaint is an agent problem — quality is the seller's, sizing is the seller's, and customs is your country's. Three reasons genuinely are structural.
They will not buy from your store. Agents refuse listings for their own reasons, and buyers hit it: one described an agent declining a seller because the store was not a marketplace listing at all, which is in the FakeLab record.
They will not do what you need at the warehouse. Extra photos, weighing, box removal and repacking are per-agent policies, and buyers trade claims about which agent does what:
Brother do you recommend Akdingji? And what agent do you use? because SB and ACB dont provide QC from weidian items...

That is a stranger's claim from November 2024 and we have not tested it. Verify a policy like that against the agent's current help pages before you let it decide anything.
The line you need is not there. Routes differ per agent and the dropdown is the authority — what you are actually buying when you pick a line explains why.
The cheap version of switching
Almost nobody needs to move a haul. What they need is to stop adding to it.
- Freeze the old account. Buy nothing more there.
- Ship what is already on the shelf as its own parcel, on the best line that account offers. One extra parcel is usually cheaper than one forwarded haul.
- Start the new haul at the new agent, from the same links.
- Keep both accounts open. Plenty of people run two, because the agent that suits a 400-gram parcel is not the one that suits a 6-kilo one.
The moment where switching is genuinely free is between parcels, and if you can wait a fortnight the decision costs nothing at all.
What we are not telling you
Which agent to move to. This site earns a commission on every agent link it carries, stated plainly in the methodology, and that is exactly why there is no name here. How to choose a shopping agent sets out the five questions that decide it for your situation — where you live, what you ship, how you pay, what the current fee page says, and what happens when an order goes wrong.
