Put an ACBuy buy link next to a MuleBuy one and they are the same idea twice: a number identifying the item, a token identifying which Chinese marketplace it came from, a referral code, nothing else. No product title, no seller name, no encoded copy of the original URL. Two values are the whole address.
That makes them a fair pairing, because the comparison is not about which is nicer. It is about what happens when one of those two values is wrong — and on that narrow question they behave differently in a way you can check yourself in a minute.
The vocabularies
MuleBuy's marketplace token is a word in capitals, from a three-item vocabulary: one for Weidian, one for Taobao, one for the 1688 wholesale side. CnFans and JoyaGoo use that identical vocabulary, with the same parameter names.
ACBuy's token is two letters. Its own private set, shared with nobody else in the eight.
Neither is better engineering. The difference produces two different classes of mistake.
How a bad link fails on each
On MuleBuy: loudly
A capitalised marketplace name is hard to corrupt into a different valid one. Damage a MuleBuy token and you almost always get a token that means nothing, which produces an error rather than a product. An error is annoying and it is also honest — you know immediately that the link is broken, and you go and find the original.
On ACBuy: quietly, if you are unlucky
Two-letter codes are compact, and compactness is exactly what makes a wrong one plausible. A pair of letters mistyped, transposed, or edited by somebody trying to be helpful can still be a code the site recognises. Now you have a well-formed link pointing at an item id on the wrong marketplace, and item id spaces are separate per platform. Depending on what happens to sit at that number, you get an error, an empty page, or something that is simply not the thing you were sent.
The third outcome is the one that costs money, and it is why hand-editing an agent link is a bad habit on either of them and a worse one on the short-token side.
The fix is not clever: keep the original Weidian, Taobao or 1688 URL, not the agent link. When you only have the agent link, paste it into the link decoder, which reads the item back out of the URL's shape with no network call and rebuilds a correct link for all eight agents. That is a machine doing the transcription instead of you.
Family resemblance, and the trap inside it
MuleBuy shares its link grammar with two other agents on this site. Three front ends using the same parameter vocabulary suggests a shared template, a shared vendor, or one interface that got copied — and it suggests exactly nothing beyond that. We have established no corporate relationship between any of them, and you should not infer one from a URL. The similarity and what it fails to imply is the subject of CnFans vs MuleBuy.
ACBuy sits outside that family, with its own spelling. That is not evidence of independence either. A front end is a shopfront; warehouses, forwarder contracts, packing standards, photographers and dispute handling are where an agent actually differs, and none of it is inspectable from outside.
The resemblance is worth exactly one practical conclusion: converting between MuleBuy and its lookalikes is nearly mechanical, converting to ACBuy needs a token swap, and both are jobs for the converter rather than your hands.
What our monitoring says about the pair
This site checks the two URLs it actually emits for each agent — the referral redirect and a real buy link assembled from a live Weidian item — rather than homepages, because a homepage being up says nothing about whether the path a buyer walks works. Results come back in three states, the third being inconclusive: where a 403, a 429 or a 451 lands, because several sites here refuse bare automated requests while serving browsers perfectly.
Neither ACBuy nor MuleBuy is among the hosts that forced those exceptions. That is a thin, real positive and it deserves to be called thin: our robot has never had to make an excuse for either of them. It is not uptime data, it is not a service record, and it should barely move your decision.
The parts of the comparison nobody here has run
The honest column, and it is longer than the one above:
- No order has been placed through either agent by anyone writing this.
- No timing from purchase to warehouse arrival, on either.
- No side-by-side QC photo sets of the same item, which is the difference that would actually separate two agents.
- No dispute outcomes — refunds granted, refused, ignored — for either.
- No matched basket: same items, same weight, same destination, same week, all-in. Until somebody runs that, the fee question stays open and no percentages appear on this page.
The evidence this site does hold is dated Reddit comments about sellers, quoted verbatim and linked back to their threads on each seller page. Those buyers are discussing garments, batches and sizing. Not one is reviewing the agent who forwarded the box, and turning that corpus into an agent ranking would mean inventing the missing part.
Choosing between them anyway
Neither is ranked here and neither will be until the measurements above exist. What you can settle for yourself in ten minutes:
- Payment methods from your own country. The constraint most likely to actually bind, and the fastest to check, on each agent's own current page.
- The line menu. Get as far as a shipping estimate on both for a realistic weight to your own address. The lists are rendered from whatever forwarder capacity each agent currently holds, which is a real product difference showing through.
- The fee pages, read the same afternoon. Not a table from a blog post. Theirs, today. How agent fees work explains which line on those pages usually decides the total, and it is not the one they advertise against each other.
Then start small, and take the QC step seriously while the item is still in China and still swappable — how to buy reps walks the whole chain in order.
One last disclosure: both links this page could send you through carry a referral code, and this site earns on signups. It never changes your price, it is set out in the methodology, and it is precisely why there is no winner named above.
