Start with the thing that confuses people. A CnFans product link that no longer opens does not mean the item is gone. The link is a wrapper, and underneath the wrapper is a plain numeric item id belonging to Weidian, Taobao or 1688. Recover the id and the item is buyable again — through CnFans, or through any of the other seven agents this site supports, including ones that did not exist when the dead link was posted.
The link is an id in a costume
A CnFans buy URL is built from two pieces of information: which platform the item lives on, and its id. The platform is named explicitly in the URL as one of three values, one each for Weidian, Taobao and the 1688 wholesale side. The id is the number the seller's own listing uses.
That matters for a practical reason. Agents whose links carry an entire encoded source URL will swallow almost any link shape you feed them. Agents built around an id, CnFans among them, need the id extracted first — and if you paste something malformed you get an error page rather than a listing.
This is exactly what the link decoder is for. Paste a dead agent link, a shortener, a screenshot's worth of URL, whatever you have; it pulls the item id out of the shape of the link itself, with no network call, and rebuilds a working buy link for every agent. A link from 2024 that no longer resolves anywhere still decodes.
What the service is, underneath the interface
The same as every agent's, and worth restating because the interfaces make it look more complicated than it is. CnFans buys the item from the Chinese seller with your money, receives it at a warehouse, photographs it, holds it while you accumulate more, then ships one parcel to you when you tell it to.
The photography step is the one that earns the fee. It is your only inspection of the object, it happens while the item is still in China and still returnable, and approving it in ten seconds because you are excited is the most common expensive mistake in this hobby. The cost, part by part
- Item price. The seller's number, in yuan.
- Domestic shipping. Seller to warehouse, inside China. Usually minor.
- Service model. How the agent makes its money: a percentage, a handling charge, or a free-service headline with the margin taken somewhere else. This is the term most likely to have changed since anything was written about it, including this page.
- International shipping. Priced per parcel by chargeable weight and volume, on a line you pick. The lines sort into roughly express, standard and economy — fast and expensive, middling, or slow and cheap.
- Extras, per parcel. More photos, repacking, discarding shoe boxes to cut volume, insurance, storage beyond whatever free window applies.
We are not printing CnFans percentages or a rate table. We have not measured them, the agent revises them at will, and a confident stale number is worse than an honest gap. Use the quote you are given for your packed parcel. Duty and VAT on arrival are separate, they are your problem, and the thresholds change — check your national customs page, not a forum thread.
Uptime, and why a 403 is not an outage
We monitor the two URLs this site emits for each agent: the signup redirect and a real buy link built from a live Weidian item. Nothing else — pinging a homepage tells you about the homepage.
The classifier answers in three states rather than two. Alive is any 2xx after redirects. Dead is a definite negative: a 5xx, a broken redirect chain, or no response at all. Everything else is inconclusive, because several of these sites answer 403 to any bare automated request while serving real browsers normally, and one agent's bare host once returned 451 at a European edge while both URLs the site actually uses returned 200. Calling either of those an outage would produce an alert that fires forever and gets ignored, which is the same as having no alert.
The evidence gap, stated plainly
This site grades evidence, and about agents it holds almost none.
Nobody here has ordered through CnFans. We have not timed a parcel, compared photo quality, tested support, or watched a refund happen. We have never run the same basket through all eight agents to see what the totals actually come to, which is the only fee comparison that would be worth reading. The dated Reddit quotes this site is built on sit on seller pages and discuss garments, batches and sizing — not the agent who forwarded the box.
So: no ranking, no verdict, no badge. What is here is the mechanism, the cost structure, and the boundary of what we checked.
Two practical notes
Do not ship a single item; weight-and-volume pricing with a floor means one parcel of five things beats five parcels of one. And save the original Weidian or Taobao link, not the agent link — the decoder can rebuild the second from the first forever, but not the other way round if the id is stripped.
